As I stretch my arms saying ‘Thank You, Lord’ for another
day of waking me up, I smell the unique cook of mom from my room; I hear the
refreshing early conversation of my siblings down near the kitchen while mom is
preparing our breakfast. Leading the prayer alternately, I can’t help but smile
how God is so good restoring my family. Readying myself to work, I put my
necktie, fix my hair, do some make-ups wearing the usual outfit—a formal
attire and heels. I kiss and bid goodbye to them then I see the outside world:
uproar of the vehicles moving in, high buildings all over the city, unending
morning greetings, clattering shoes of my office mates and lastly the sound of
papers filed up at my desk together with my precious graphing materials,
sketches and mini-figures of the upcoming projects to construct a company
building and my house. Coming to victory church in the afternoon on which I
spend my free time teaching the kids and when time permits ushering the people
who attend our services. Most of all, praying for my friends in need, relatives
in pain and especially the nation in distress that sum up to make a day of mine
complete. Suddenly, I heard my clock alarming. I was dreaming yet I look
forward for these things to happen in 2020.
